Join us as we take a virtual tour of all the wonderful places that Giffords Circus is visiting on our 2022 UK tour, starting with Fennells Farm in Stroud where our new show ¡Carpa! opens on 14th April 2022…
Since 2014 Fennells Farm has been home to Giffords Circus. Sat high on a hill, Fennells Farm overlooks the bucolic Slad Valley and market town of Stroud down in the valley below.
This is where the magic happens, the circus shows are created, and rehearsals take place every spring before the show opens. Fennells Farm is a magical place, it looks like a farm at a first glance, but in the barns, there are props, costumes and a team of dedicated employees all burning the midnight oil to get the show on the road.
Circus goers who book tickets to Fennells Farm in April are rewarded with being the first to see the new show and get to share in excited anticipation ahead of the tour, plus you get to enjoy the most stunning sunsets in the Cotswolds (we’re biased but there really is nothing like the golden hour at Fennells!)
Giffords Circus ¡Carpa! opens at Fennells Farm on the 14th April 2022 – 25th April 2022 for more information visit our Fennells Farm page here.
Why not combine your Giffords Circus visit with a stay in the Cotswolds and discover the beautiful valleys we call home? Here are just a few of our favourite places to stay, play, eat and drink whilst you’re here…
The Woolpack Inn – is without a doubt our favourite pub and within walking distance of our HQ at Fennells Farm. Immortalised in Laurie Lee’s novel Cider with Rosie, we recommend The Woolpack for a wide selection of real ale, including Pig’s Ear by Uley Brewery and great dishes, perfect for fuelling a walk around the Slad Valley.
Middle Lypiatt Glamping – Within walking distance of Fennells Farm is a rather fabulous safari tent. It sleeps six in a double room, a twin room and a double cabin bed and even has a bathroom too.
Stroud Farmers’ Market – The award-winning Farmers’ Market is highlight of the week in Stroud with over fifty stalls packed with fresh and local produce, spread throughout the town centre.
The Sub Rooms – The Sub Rooms is a hub, Stroud’s home for creativity, a unique venue providing an innovative programme of music, dance, theatre, visual arts, spoken word, exhibitions, and workshops.
