Giffords Circus is excited to announce its creative team for 2022 show ¡Carpa! Acclaimed director, Cal McCrystal, returns for his 11th year at Giffords Circus and will be once-again joined by award winning production designer takis, who both have previously brought their magic to Giffords Circus shows such as Any Port in a Storm, Xanadu and The Hooley.
“Our 2022 show will evoke the sights and sounds of rural Mexico. I have directed in that splendid country several times it is a place that I greatly admire. Mexico’s incredible art, music, history, and people will be our inspiration. The creative team also includes Giffords Circus favourites Tweedy the Clown, Nancy Trotter Landry and long-time musical director James Keay, close friends of Nell Gifford. We are also delighted to welcome to the team, David Ferrier a highly experienced production manager who will join us in 2022.
