“Our costumes are handmade, our animals are trained by us, our sets are painted in the barns on our farm. We burn the midnight oil to conjure new visions for the show. It’s all we do. Circus is our job, our life, our love.” Nell Gifford

Andrew Rees captured some of our first day of rehearsals on Monday, 13th March, where everyone involved in the show meets each other. Artistes, office staff, painters, wardrobe, musicians and production all gather in the tent at 10am in the morning. The artistes then perform their acts for the director Cal McCrystal so he can begin to weave his magic putting the show together. This is Cal’s 13th year here at Giffords and Les Enfants du Paradis is already promising to be c’est magnifique!
